LogicManager Spotlight

Adam Fishman, Customer Success

Name: Adam Fishman

Role: Manager, Customer Success

College Major: Business Administration

Fun fact about yourself: I hope to be a ‘Chopped’ contestant one day

Why’d you decide to begin your career at LogicManager?

I had just finished an internship before my senior year of college at a major investment bank in New York City. The experience had me disenchanted with the idea of working for a big bank in a traditional finance role.

After that, I started looking for a company where I could have a larger role to play – something client facing, strategic, and challenging that would test my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I was lucky to find LogicManager on Northeastern University’s career page and from the minute the phone interview started I knew I had found the right place.

What does a typical day look like in your role?

Well, right now I’m transitioning between roles to help build out the Customer Success team at LogicManager. The change in roles means that many of my days are spent split between different responsibilities, but this promotion allows me to support our customers from another perspective.

At the day-to-day level, this includes working closely with members of our Advisory Analyst team to discover ways for customers to learn and benefit from best practices, as well as identifying opportunities to expand or improve customers’ risk management programs with LogicManager. From there, I’ll handle everything from conducting software demos, to negotiating pricing and contracts for the expansion or renewal, to continuing our partnership with a customer through a signed contract.

On top of that, I spend a lot of time planning our annual customer conference, IMPACT, doing the day-to-day ‘Advisory Analyst’ work that I’m transitioning away from, and training new Advisory Analysts to continue to provide top-notch support for our customers.

What’s your favorite part about working at LogicManager?

Definitely the relationships I’ve built with my colleagues at LogicManager. It’s great to have a challenging, interesting job, but even that wouldn’t be enjoyable if I didn’t like the people I work with every day. I have built some great friendships here and I’m grateful for those.

How has the company grown since you joined?

To look around the office today and see how many people and desks have been added since I started still surprises me from time to time. With that comes the degree to which our processes have become more formalized, efficient, and scalable. I’ve enjoyed seeing myself and colleagues take ownership of little pieces of our different areas as we continue to grow.

As a result of all this, we’ve been involved in larger and more exciting opportunities from a business development and customer perspective, and it’s been fun to play a part in that too.

What has been your most memorable LogicManager moment?

There have been a few. All of our holiday parties and lawn parties are very fun and memorable.  Since there are always so many new people each time, it makes them easier to remember every event based on who was there.

Another big one was celebrating with the team after our first-ever IMPACT conference wrapped up and was a success. It was a huge milestone for the company and knowing the role I played in that made me really proud.

I’ll sneak one more in – one of my customers breeds golden retrievers as a side hobby and invited me to his house to play with ten golden retriever puppies. So, that too.
